The company Aromas do Valado, Unipessoal Lda. was officially incorporated on April 1, 2013.

The idea for this project originated from the need to change the career path, associated with the return to the origins and the desire to transform a property into a sustainable source of income based on organic farming. The passion for nature, for the aromas and benefits of plants, which provide tranquility and well-being, balanced the course and development of this work that they strengthen, day by day, from the rural world.

The producer takes advantage of the native plants existing in the area of the Naturtejo Geopark, transforming them into essential oils and which, in turn, are incorporated into the production chain of a range of cosmetic products with organic and vegan certification. The company’s production process is based on principles of sustainability, using ancestral knowledge that intersects with a scientific basis.

The company is based on 3 fundamental departments: distillation, cosmetics production and academia.

It has an intangible fixed asset of 7 years of Research and Development (R&D) in the use of essential oils from native plants in hygiene and cosmetic products.

Aromas do Valado is linked to the Polytechnic Institute of Castelo Branco (IPCB) and was the subject of a master’s thesis submitted by the co-founder to the IPCB.
