Medicinal lavender essential oil (Lavandula officinalis) has a very delicate aroma, but contains much higher percentages of active ingredients than any other variety, which is why it is widely used in medical and cosmetic preparations.

Each variety of lavender has a different balsamic period, a period when the essential oil is more concentrated. It is at this time that it should be cut, which is why Tuscan lavandin is cut about 15 days later than common lavender. After harvesting, the plants are transported to our laboratories for distillation. This all-natural process is done using steam, using only heat, steam and a series of coils to collect the valuable drops of essential oil during cooling.
